I want to thank our university community for choosing me to represent the values and traditions of our University—public, plural, and open to listening."
Carcaterra succeeds the outgoing rector Antonella Polimeni, who expressed her "heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for his future endeavors. I am certain that Professor Carcaterra will be able to lead our University with foresight and balance, leading the Sapienza community toward increasingly ambitious goals."
