(Adnkronos) – "We are trying to find financial balance in our budgets, ensuring both co-financing by the company and full utilization of all public funding, including that from the PNRR and the National Sustainable Mobility Plan, as well as other European and regional resources. This has given us the opportunity to include modern vehicles in our fleet, such as electric buses, which can now be used in both urban and suburban areas.

This is a major challenge for companies, which must equip their depots for electric charging and train their staff, including those in workshops." This is what Stefano Belardinelli, representative of Contram, said at the 20th edition of the Asstra National Conference, taking place yesterday and today at the Parco dei Principi Grand Hotel in Rome, entitled 'Valuable Mobility, Value for Mobility'.

Belardinelli then analyzed how technological advances have fueled a need for personnel: "We're experiencing a shortage of both qualified and technical personnel. We're trying to develop important partnerships with universities, engaging with young people during their studies, offering them the opportunity to do internships, and demonstrating that local public transport isn't a traditional sector, tied solely to conservation and therefore unattractive to younger generations."
