(Adnkronos) – On the occasion of Open-es Act 2026, the event dedicated to defining priorities and actions to strengthen the competitiveness of companies and supply chains, Eni, Confindustria, Enel, Snam, Unicredit, Q8 Italia, Webuild, Accenture, Avvale, and Rina announce the launch of the Systema Foundation, born from the shared desire of the Open-es Alliance partners to expand their capacity to engage key players in the country's system.
Fondazione Systema, as stated in a statement, was created as a forum for guidance and discussion, with the aim of gradually uniting the key players in the Italian system and leveraging the contributions of industry, finance, associations, and institutions to define shared priorities, models, and approaches that help supply chains address the risks and seize the opportunities generated by ongoing social, environmental, and technological transformations.
The goal is to simplify the journey for businesses, reducing complexity and duplication and jointly addressing what can be managed most effectively at the system level.
Open-es, which has already reached more than 48.000 businesses, represents the first concrete expression of this systemic approach and will remain at the heart of the process promoted by Fondazione Systema.
Open-es will continue to engage businesses, support their development, and foster coordination across supply chains, leveraging the expertise and solutions provided by Alliance partners.
Eni's industrial development has always accompanied the growth of the countries, regions, and supply chains in which it operates. The same spirit has guided Open-es' journey, providing all companies with concrete solutions to help strengthen the production system.
The creation of the Systema Foundation marks a further evolution of this journey: an even more open and representative governance, to progressively expand the Alliance and bring the capabilities of the country's main players together on the priorities that impact the competitiveness of supply chains,” said Claudio Granata, Director of Stakeholder Relations & Services at Eni and President of the Systema Foundation.
Giacomo Marino, Head of M&A and Corporate Development at UniCredit, said: "UniCredit is proud to contribute to the creation of the Systema Foundation, whose mission is fully consistent with our commitment to supporting Italian companies in their transformation and growth. The dual transition, digital and ecological, requires a profound renewal of business models, which no company can address alone. With the Systema Foundation, we are leveraging an open ecosystem aimed at fostering the dissemination of skills, technologies, and practices along supply chains. We thus confirm our vision of the bank as a strategic partner for the real economy."
