(Adnkronos) – Mystery is brewing in the United Kingdom, where 45-year-old Hannah Terry, a GP, also known as Hannah Cain, was found dead in her Fern Hill home in Dersingham, Norfolk. As the BBC reports, her body was discovered last Sunday, but yesterday evening her husband, Mark Cain, 45, also a resident of Fern Hill, was formally charged with murder.
The man appeared at Norwich Crown Court this morning wearing a black hoodie but spoke only to confirm his age, name and address.
He is due back in court on Thursday, while District Judge Matthew Bone ordered him remanded in custody.
According to prosecutor Jacqui Hanlo's account, Dr. Cain was "found by emergency services in an upstairs bedroom of the building, unconscious and not breathing." She also stated that the post-mortem examination "revealed a blunt force injury to the right side of her head, as well as an injury that may indicate neck compression.
There were also children present at the scene.”
Dr. Terry was among the team members at Grimston Medical Centre, which remained closed Monday and Tuesday following her death. The facility reopened on Wednesday, stating it would not comment "on the circumstances surrounding the tragic passing of our colleague, Dr. Hannah Terry."
The village of Dersingham is part of the royal Sandringham estate in west Norfolk.
Many British media, including the Daily Mail, reported that the doctor had treated various members of the Royal Family, particularly the Queen.
Camilla, who was informed together with King Charles of what happened.
