(Adnkronos) – "Fifty years of history and commitment to science and medicine, with an eye to the future and especially to the younger generations." This is how Giuseppe Caracciolo, scientific director and general manager of the Menarini Foundation, summarized the organization's mission while speaking to journalists in Florence, on the sidelines of the conference celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Menarini Foundation.

“Over these fifty years,” Caracciolo explained, “we have worked in all the major medical disciplines, remaining faithful to the founder's message and looking particularly to the next generation.

For us, it is essential to be able to offer young people around the world an excellent, top-level education through collaboration with the most important international opinion leaders, who freely share their knowledge to share the most relevant updates in various disciplines."

This activity, according to Caracciolo, takes on particular value in emerging countries: "For doctors in these countries, it is a very important opportunity to listen to, meet, and interact with international experts present in the country.

We are an Italian foundation and we are proud of our internationally recognized experts and of being able to travel the world to spread free scientific education. For scientific communities in developing countries, having access to opportunities like this is not something to be taken for granted." The training covers numerous areas of medicine, "from cardiology to respiratory diseases, from oncology to hematology, from diseases of the nervous system to other disciplines."

"Thanks to our mission and the special attention we pay to young people," Caracciolo added, "we give them the opportunity to stay up-to-date in the best possible way, through top-level training and encounters with the great masters of medicine. In some situations, they read their names in books, but through the Menarini Foundation, they have the opportunity to meet them in person, meet them, ask questions, and thus enrich their own training."
