(Adnkronos) – An earthquake struck the southern Tyrrhenian Sea, off the coast of the Aeolian Islands, today, Thursday, October 8. The National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) reported the earthquake. The quake struck at 5:42 a.m. at a depth of 372 km, with its epicenter 81 km north-northwest of Malfa (Messina). No damage or injury was reported.
