Car stolen from home's garden, later found in an accident

An eventful night between Pieve del Grappa and Borso del Grappa, in the Treviso area , saw a boy of just 15 years old as the protagonist.

Around 2:25 a.m. between Sunday 13th and Monday 14th September, 112 received a report of the theft of a Fiat Grande Punto , stolen from the garden of a house on Via dell'Artigianato in Pieve del Grappa. The owner was working the night shift and it was apparently his son who raised the alarm.

According to the reconstruction, as reported by Vicenza Today , whoever stole the vehicle entered the house to take the keys.

A crucial element in the search was the satellite locator installed on the car , which allowed the Carabinieri of the Riese Pio X station to quickly locate the vehicle . The Grande Punto was found shortly afterwards in Borso del Grappa, abandoned after being involved in a road accident.

When officers arrived on the scene, the alleged driver had already fled the crash area on foot . The search continued, however, and shortly thereafter, the Carabinieri located a 15-year-old foreigner, already known to the police. According to local media reports, no action has been taken against him at this time , while investigations are ongoing to reconstruct all the details of the incident.

The car owner explained that the vehicle was severely damaged and speculated that the boy may not have acted alone . The investigation will therefore also need to clarify this aspect, verifying the possible presence of other people involved in the theft and subsequent escape.
