Neurological research and what we heard today at the SIN Congress confirm the progress being made in neuroscience. In Italy, we need to support this research, streamlining the process that allows these drugs to move from innovations in the field to clinical practice. Access times remain an issue that needs to be addressed systematically: national and regional access, as well as local access.

Italy is among the European countries that have embraced the Brain Health strategy, seeking to make brain health a national priority. "If brain health is a national priority, we cannot allow access to therapeutic innovations to remain an Achilles heel," said Tiziana Mele, CEO of Lundbeck Italia, at the 56th Congress of the Italian Society of Neurology (SIN), scheduled for October 24-27, 2026, in Florence.
