(Adnkronos) – The Turin supervisory court has rejected the request for a deferred sentence for clemency presented by Stefano Marcolini, lawyer for Mario Roggero, the 72-year-old jeweler from Cuneo sentenced to 14 years and nine months for killing two robbers and wounding a third in April 2021 following the attack on his shop.
The jeweler is being held in prison in Bollate.
At the hearing on September 9th before the Turin supervisory court, his lawyer had requested a deferral of the sentence pending the President of the Republic's decision on the pardon, and alternatively, house arrest pending the President of the Republic's decision.
A similar hearing will be held on September 16th before the Milan supervisory court.
