(Adnkronos) –
A group surrounded a police car, attacked officers, and threatened them with dogs. It happened last night in Cinisello Balsamo, near Milan. A patrol from the local police station responded to a report of gunshots on Via Garibaldi around midnight: 30:30. They found about ten people celebrating a birthday party, while a couple in the group was arguing.
When they asked what was happening, the boy attacked the officers and was arrested.
Meanwhile, thirty more people, mostly Egyptian, arrived, surrounded the police officers and attacked them. One man in particular kicked and punched them and was then subdued with a taser.
Still surrounded and threatened, including with three large dogs unleashed, the officers defended themselves with pepper spray, scaring off most of the group. Two packages of cocaine and two unexploded blank-caller rounds were seized at the scene, but no spent shell casings were found.
At the end of the intervention, the man subdued with the taser was taken with a green code to the Multimedica hospital in Cinisello Balsamo, from which he was discharged during the night.
Others in the group were taken to the police station. Eventually, three of them, all Egyptian citizens with legal residence in Italy, aged between 20 and 25, were charged with resisting a public official.
