Ilaria Salis on the guerrilla movement in Milan: "Guarantee young people's rights."

The politician expressed her thoughts on what happened over the weekend in the Lombardy capital.

Ilaria Salis is a political figure who has always attracted discussion for her comments on current events in the country, both regarding her personal life and those affecting the Italian political agenda. One of the most talked-about topics she has expressed her opinion on is the violent incidents recorded in Milan over the past weekend.

The right and its spirit of revenge, Salis blames the government for the clashes in Milan

Ilaria Salis is currently outside our country, specifically in Strasbourg, seat of the European Parliament, where she is a member of the left-wing AVS (Alliance of the Greens and the Left) party. However, this absence has not prevented her from expressing her thoughts on yesterday's events.

According to her, one of the main culprits behind the break-ins at Milanese shops is the right , which, in her opinion, is undergoing an authoritarian drift based on revenge that imposes the ever-increasing presence of racism and classism.

For Salis, however, Italy is a state governed by the rule of law , and this is based on the principle of due process that should apply to all people regardless of origin, race, or social class.

Ilaria Salis, regarding the guerrilla warfare in Milan, I will do everything possible to contact the authorities.

The AVS representative thanked the lawyers who are defending the arrested youths and are working to ensure that they pay for the damage caused but do not suffer further violence.

She believes it's right that they protested because, as MonzaToday reports , "their rights must be guaranteed," and if protests are necessary to secure them, then they should be. She said she's concerned about the young people arrested because tensions breed violence.

Her concern is therefore about the possible consequences, she expressed herself positively with respect to the break-ins and the damage done as they stem from a state of unease towards the state and towards those currently in government.
