(Adnkronos) – "Remaining is not just an act of faith, it is an act of strengthening the entire country, especially in this historic moment in which we are in the fourth and a half years of the South growing faster than the North." This was stated by the President of the Regional Council, Massimiliano Manfredi, regarding the presence of the Head of State, Sergio Mattarella, at the Donnaregina Complex in Naples for the "Sud Vivo" meeting, organized by the Con il Sud Foundation.
"The presence of President Sergio Mattarella in Campania, whom we deeply thank, is always of the utmost importance because it underscores the Head of State's closeness, affection, and support for a vibrant, vital, and productive South, the driving force of Italy's economic and social development, in keeping with the values of solidarity, social cohesion, and a country strongly united, from North to South, both economically and socially."
"We are living in a historical, economic, and social phase that sees Southern Italy as a key player in Italy's growth. So much so that, for four years now, this part of the country has been growing faster than other regions. Naples and Campania in particular are the driving force behind this important revival," added the head of the Campania legislative assembly. "In this context, we must focus our efforts and institutional synergy to address the South's challenges, such as depopulation, and create the conditions to make it increasingly vibrant and competitive."
