(Adnkronos) – The computers at the Agricultural Institute of Riccia (Campobasso) are once again at the center of the investigation into the double homicide in Pietracatella. The Larino Public Prosecutor's Office has ordered new and in-depth computer tests on the school's devices, searching for traces of ricin, the powerful poison that killed Antonella Di Ielsi and her fifteen-year-old daughter Sara Di Vita in December 2025.

The goal is to reconstruct possible preparatory activities for the poisoning and identify those who conducted certain internet searches. This is established by an eight-page decree signed on September 28 by Prosecutor Elvira Antonelli, who directs the investigation to the Professional Institute for Agriculture and Rural Development in Riccia, in the Caccia Murata district.

This is because in the meantime, in the Pietracatella mystery, the hypothesis of accidental ingestion of ricin by Antonella Di Ielsi and her daughter Sara Di Vita is losing consistency.

Indeed, sources close to the investigation emphasize that autopsy findings reveal quantities of poison found in biological specimens equal to 140 times the minimum lethal dose. The results of the investigation and the testimonies gathered so far support the hypothesis of murder; the amount of poison consumed would rule out accidental ingestion, a hypothesis that had resurfaced in the preceding hours.
