Serse Cosmi isn't having it. And, in a press conference, he vented after his Salernitana side's 2-2 draw against Scafatese: "I'm sad for the team; they didn't deserve to be mocked," the coach said. "The boys shouldn't worry and must be strong. We did everything we could to bring it home."
The coach of the Granata, tenth in Group C of Serie C with just 14 points, spoke about the current situation for his team, who were booed at the end of the match: "When I coach a team, at my home ground, I want to play at home."
The Granata coach added: “Do I have to settle accounts with you? Explain it to me. I don't want to sound old, but do you know how many times I've been in a press room and how many questions I've answered that weren't about the quality of the cross? They've asked me millions of questions, more or less pertinent, and I've always answered.
You say I'm pissed off... of course I am. We're not winning a match that Salernitana deserved to win. What do you expect? Does this mean we're settling scores?" The curiosity, which quickly went viral on the web, is that Cosmi – during his speech – changed his voice... without realizing it.
This is not a new episode for the coach and it has already happened in the past.
So much so that, during his time at Crotone (in 2021), Cosmi spoke about it with a smile in response to a fan's question: "Many people won't know this, but I also did voice acting for a Disney film, 'The Cosby Show'. They called me to play a professor, a coach. I would often change my voice without meaning to. Those responsible for that dubbing were impressed because I do it without meaning to, while for voice actors, it's an achievement that comes after many years of training..."
