Sharia law in Italy too? Absolutely not. 'Islamic courts' and parallel laws cannot exist in Italy: only Italian laws exist, and everyone must respect them. I have already reported the complaints made by the citizens of Padua, where I will be in the next few days, to the Minister of Justice and the Minister of the Interior. Stop political Islam!

The leader of the League and Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini wrote this in X, relaunching a news item from 'Il Giornale', according to which a body has been created in Veneto that aims to resolve disputes between Muslims by referring to the principles of Sharia.

Anna Maria Cisint, a member of the European Parliament for the League (PfE), wrote to the Padua Public Prosecutor's Office specifically regarding the "first Islamic court in Italy."

She herself announced this on the sidelines of the European Parliament plenary session, on the day of the debate on the resolution presented by the Patriots group on "Islamic entryism" and the Muslim Brotherhood network. According to Cisint, a body claiming to handle arbitration according to the Islamic dictates of Sharia was discovered in Padua: "proof that what we say is true."

The resolution, led by Susanna Ceccardi, calls for a ban on the Muslim Brotherhood and affiliated organizations.

Cisint speaks of "a very serious issue, the cancer of our times," arguing that Islamist organizations are already present in Italian and European society and are also operating "very moderately," remaining within the social system and within associations. According to the MEP, reports from countries such as Germany, Austria, and France indicate the subversion of democracy as their goal.

Cisint links the issue to October 7, recalling both the Battle of Lepanto in 1571 and the Hamas attack of 2023, noting that the latter "arises from the rib of the Muslim Brotherhood." The MEP finally calls for accountability from all political forces, "including the left, today complicit with Islamism in Europe and Italy," warning that "if we don't act now, the cancer and the abyss are already at our feet."
