(Adnkronos) – "The PNRR has placed infrastructure at the center of the country's agenda. This is all in terms of significant investments, with over €60 billion in mobility, infrastructure, and logistics." This was the opening statement from Hilti Italia CEO Alessandro Savino, during the fifth edition of the Infrastructure Academy held in Rome at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni's greenhouse.
"This concentration of large-scale projects in a very limited timeframe, with very stringent milestones and significant financial implications, has put pressure on the system and transformed the way we work, which is now much more integrated, more connected, and more productive," Savino remarked during the event, illustrating what the NRRP has meant for Italy.
One example, Hilti's CEO explained, is BIM. "Finally, the digital connection between design and execution is becoming a reality, and this obviously brings efficiency and productivity," he continued.
“The PNRR will leave us a legacy not only of what we have built, but above all of what we have learned to better build tomorrow's infrastructure and therefore the Italy of tomorrow.”
The Recovery and Resilience Plan represented an extraordinary phase that led to the emergence of new skills. "Now these must become permanent," Savino emphasized, focusing on the capabilities that must be made structural to continue the sector's evolution. "We must safeguard and consolidate those digital and managerial skills that were not previously part of the public administration's DNA." The CEO of Hilti Italia concluded by emphasizing that "in this context, we are convinced we can make a significant contribution together with all the sector's stakeholders." This is a way "to continue the journey and ensure the sector's evolution is beneficial for all stakeholders and for the country as a whole."
