Silvio Berlusconi would have turned 90: family lunch at Villa Certosa

On September 29, 2026 , the day Silvio Berlusconi would have celebrated his 90th birthday , Villa Certosa could once again bring together some of the people closest to him.

As reported by Adnkronos , a small family lunch is planned at the residence in Porto Rotondo , Sardinia, organized by Luigi Berlusconi, the youngest of the former prime minister's five children. According to reliable Forza Italia sources, two planes are expected to take off from Milan carrying family and longtime friends of the Cavaliere.

Among the guests are Marina Berlusconi , president of Fininvest, Pier Silvio Berlusconi , CEO of MFE-Mediaset, as well as Barbara and Eleonora Berlusconi.

They are also expected to be joined by some of Berlusconi's associates for decades, including Fedele Confalonieri, Gianni Letta, and Marcello Dell'Utri. Marta Fascina, the former prime minister's last companion, is also expected to attend the meeting.

Before lunch, a mass in memory of Berlusconi could also be celebrated.

The symbolic return to the residence of Villa Certosa del Cavaliere

The choice of Villa Certosa takes on particular significance because for many years it was one of the most symbolic places in Berlusconi's private life. The Sardinian residence, used by the former prime minister for his summer holidays and for meetings with guests and international dignitaries, was reportedly recently sold to the Qatari royal family , after having been owned by the Berlusconi family for years. The lunch on September 29th would therefore also have the value of a symbolic return to what had been one of his most beloved homes. In 2025, for his 89th birthday , the family instead gathered in Arcore.

The remembrance also comes just days after the naming of Milan Malpensa Airport after Silvio Berlusconi, celebrated on September 25th. On that occasion, Marina Berlusconi remembered her father, speaking of a " man who always sought dialogue with everyone " and emphasizing that "My father spent his life looking forward and into the future ." Three years after the former prime minister's passing, the 90th birthday thus becomes the occasion for another private moment of remembrance with family and lifelong friends.
