This is the restriction contained in an amendment to the Sports Decree, currently under discussion in the Chamber of Deputies. The bipartisan amendment proposal was presented by the Culture Committee and has the support of all parliamentary groups. Brought to the Chamber yesterday afternoon, it will be voted on today.

The Social Affairs Committee of the Chamber of Deputies could approve the bill on swimming pool safety within a few days . The regulation would affect all types of facilities, from public to private pools, to those open to the public or for collective use. Pools with non-compliant nozzles will have to close . There have been too many deaths in swimming pools, the latest just yesterday, with the death of a 5-year-old boy from an illness that is still being investigated.
