Rome, October 30 (askanews) – Thousands of people in Rome took to the streets on the day of the general strike to protest against the high cost of living and the war. “The high cost of living is unsustainable for all workers and for the entire population,” said a Roman taxi driver participating in the march organized by grassroots unions. “No measures are being taken for young people, nothing is being done except to serve the interests of private individuals and multinationals.”
