Adnkronos (Adnkronos) – Karie Zacharia will likely leave her new post as White House spokeswoman within "a few days," a senior adviser to US President Donald Trump told Axios. Zacharia began her role five days ago but was immediately engulfed in scandal after allegedly lying about her legal qualifications: she allegedly failed the bar exam.
Trump himself urged her to step back. "I said, 'If I were you, I'd reconsider,'" the president told reporters. "Is that what you want, Katie? Honestly, you don't need that," Trump added, referring to his conversation with Zacharia. "I'm going to let her make that decision," the tycoon added.
“She's been treated very harshly. She's a good person,” Trump said. “I just want her to be happy.”
