A trip along the Sentiero del Cuore, in the Scanno area, in the province of L'Aquila, ended with a serious accident for Aurora Esposito, 27, originally from Brusciano and resident in Acerra.

On the afternoon of Monday, September 7 , while hiking with her boyfriend, the young woman fell from her horse for reasons yet to be determined . Her partner immediately called for help, and paramedics from 118 responded to the scene, providing first aid before she was airlifted, in critical condition, to the Giuseppe Mazzini Hospital in Teramo.

Carabinieri from the Castel di Sangro Company are reconstructing the incident, having conducted surveys and notified the Sulmona Public Prosecutor's Office.
