(Adnkronos) – A thirty-year-old motorcyclist died last night at the Niguarda Hospital in Milan, where he had been taken yesterday afternoon, after being seriously injured in an accident on the Crepax bridge.
According to the reconstruction by local police officers, the accident began when an ambulance, not in emergency, overtook the vehicle at around 4:30 pm.
To avoid a head-on collision with the emergency vehicle, a taxi approaching from the opposite direction suddenly braked. However, the motorcycle, driven by the thirty-year-old, was behind the car and was unable to avoid colliding with the car.
Following the impact, the motorcyclist fell to the ground, where he was struck by the arriving ambulance. Taken to Niguarda Hospital with critical illness, the thirty-year-old died overnight.
