Egg whites recalled from Conad supermarkets due to "salmonella risk."

Conad has ordered the precautionary recall of 500g Conad Piacersi free-range egg whites from its supermarkets due to the risk of salmonella.  

The note specifies that the product in question has the EAN Code 8003170102415, batch K657113 and expiry date 29 October 2026. “During checks, non-compliant microbiological specifications were found in the indicated batch: Salmonella spp.

To avoid any potential health risks, customers in possession of products from the same batch are encouraged to return them to the Conad store where they purchased them, which will replace them with another product or issue a refund. It should be noted that cooking (as indicated on the label) contributes to the inactivation of the microorganism.
