The Garlasco Case: 21 pieces of evidence against Andrea Sempio

The Pavia Public Prosecutor's Office has requested the indictment of Andrea Sempio, accused of having killed Chiara Poggi on 13 August 2007 in Garlasco , and not Alberto Stasi.

According to the Pavia Public Prosecutor's Office and the Carabinieri of the Milan Investigative Unit, there are 21 investigative elements that would point to the guilt of the now 38-year-old. Among the aspects considered most relevant by the investigators are, for example, the alleged inconsistencies in the statements made by Sempio himself regarding the phone calls made to the Poggis' home in the days preceding the crime, as well as the DNA found on Chiara's fingernails , the still-wet fingerprint 33 found near the victim's body, and the doubts about the alibi provided by the 38-year-old on the morning of the crime.

Sempio's online searches and published content also stand out. According to the prosecution's case, formulated by the Pavia Public Prosecutor's Office and the Carabinieri Investigative Unit of Milan, these elements outline a personality characterized by personal frustrations and conduct that disrespects women.

Garlasco Case: The Motive

While awaiting a decision from the preliminary investigations judge of the Pavia Court, Luigi Riganti, regarding the request for trial for Andrea Sempio , the Pavia Prosecutor's Office believes the motive is the refusal of a sexual approach , which allegedly developed after viewing intimate videos of Chiara Poggi. The 26-year-old's refusal allegedly triggered a sudden and violent reaction in Sempio when Chiara attempted to push her attacker away. Meanwhile, the formalization of the request for a review of Stasi's conviction is pending.
