Adnkronos At Ecomondo, the Esposito Group is showcasing its waste recovery plant for the Quartu Sant'Elena beach (Cagliari) cleanup. "Since 2019, our plant has returned approximately 7 tons of sand to its original beaches," explains Fabio Carmignani, the company's technical consultant. "The sand is washed and freed of microplastics before being returned to the beach.
Posidonia is also washed and reused as compost in agriculture,” adds Andrea Marino, project manager of the Esposito Group.
