(Adnkronos) – “We are very proud that the University of Tor Vergata has chosen to name this classroom after my sister, because she experienced some wonderful moments here: she was so happy to study at this university and, above all, she achieved her greatest dream, which was to become an engineer. We carry the pain within us every day and will carry it throughout our lives, but today we want to make room for the pride that characterized her.
She was a proud woman, a hard worker, and a person full of joy: today I want to bring this memory to this event." These are the words of Stefania Torzullo, Federica's sister, who graduated in Management Engineering in 2011 from Tor Vergata University and was a victim of femicide on January 8, 2026. Stefania attended the ceremony to unveil the classroom plaque bearing her sister's name.
The classroom is already open to students, both male and female, future men and women: “Beyond denouncing situations that shouldn't actually exist, we hope that future generations will raise better men.
I wish the girls to be strong women and to find the strength to succeed,” she concludes.
