Alessandro Di Battista gave an interview to the podcast "Vox On Air ," in which he discussed his experiences in Cuba, where he underwent emergency surgery for a brain tumor. The former Five Star Movement parliamentarian said he was afraid of dying.
Alessandro Di Battista's shocking confession: "I was afraid I'd die in Cuba."
In an interview on the podcast " Vox On Air," Alessandro Di Battista revisited what happened a few months ago in Cuba, where he underwent emergency surgery for a brain tumor: " In Cuba, I was truly afraid of dying, of never seeing my children again. I was afraid of dying. The neurosurgeon operated on me in terrible conditions, in a hospital without water or electricity.
They've written so much nonsense, some newspapers have given me up for dead. It's the issue of communication today: being first is more important than writing the truth. You know, clicks count, and so 'Di Battista is dead.' I've filed a few complaints."
Alessandro Di Battista: "Meloni called me. She was human."
Also on the podcast “ Vox On Air” , Alessandro Di Battista also spoke about Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni , who called him: “Meloni called me and almost wanted to reassure me…
'Look, I'll step in, let's fix this nonsense.' She realized: 'This person is sick, beyond the world, in a hospital with exceptional doctors... let's at least take this worry away from him, let's make him understand that he doesn't have to worry about the media impact of this nonsense,' and so she was humane. 'On Luigi Di Maio , however: " Seeing certain of his changes of heart was a disappointment, both humanly and politically. It pissed me off, so much so that our relationship cooled considerably. We had become friends, even more than friends, because we were on the same side of the fence. Luigi has always been a very ambitious person, and that's not necessarily wrong, but I'm convinced that many of the things he supported were actually supported more out of convenience than conviction. And that disappointed me. But he was there during this phase, and he gave me a hand, for me it's all water under the bridge."
