(Adnkronos) – A 31-year-old man was arrested by the Carabinieri for the sexual assault of a 21-year-old German student in Milan on an Erasmus exchange. At dawn on October 15, the girl was returning to her student residence on Via Giacosa, near Trotter Park, when she was surprised from behind and assaulted, before being rescued by two passersby.
It was from a backpack found a short distance from the scene of the attack, containing a receipt and a phone SIM card, that investigators, coordinated by public prosecutors Letizia Mannella and Alfonso Serritiello, were able to trace the identity of the 31-year-old Peruvian national—as reported in the online editions of Corriere, Repubblica, and Giorno.
