(Adnkronos) – "A perfect storm is developing: on the one hand, we are exposed due to significant investments in fleet renewal; on the other, our financial results have been reduced due to the high diesel prices. Consequently, this exposure could create problems in the future. We must intervene. Therefore, all necessary measures are essential to ensure that the impact of the high diesel prices does not have severe consequences for companies."
This was stated by Paolo Paolillo, director of Tper, at the 20th edition of the Asstra National Conference, scheduled for yesterday and today at the Parco dei Principi Grand Hotel in Rome, entitled 'Valuable Mobility, Value for Mobility'.
Paolillo then focused on staff and new skills related to mobility: “We are also investing in staff, especially drivers.
There's currently a driver shortage, so we've implemented a series of measures to maintain our driver base at least at previous levels. In fact, we have over 200 more drivers than in 2019. We definitely need to invest, and we're also investing in new skills. For us, these are skills needed to manage the facilities resulting from the ecological transition and, therefore, all the elements related to new transportation technologies, but also the digital transition.
