(Adnkronos) –
How are Manu Koné and Paulo Dybala doing? The injuries to the French midfielder and the Argentine striker, who were sidelined against Real Madrid with injury concerns, are troubling Roma. Gian Piero Gasperini shed some light on their conditions during a press conference on the eve of the home match against Genoa, on matchday seven of Serie A.
“Koné had an MRI scan, he has a first-degree lesion: it's not a particularly significant injury, but it takes time,” said the Giallorossi coach, “we hope to be able to recover him against Sassuolo before the break.
There are no particular situations for Dybala, it's a strain on the calf muscle: we hope to recover him next week."
If Gasperini's predictions are confirmed, Manu Koné will be forced to miss not only the match against Genoa, but also the Champions League match against Slovan Bratislava. In the league, he will miss the matches against Napoli, Cagliari, and Udinese, attempting to secure a call-up against Manchester United in the European match at Old Trafford, before returning to the field, at least during the match, against Sassuolo.
Dybala, on the other hand, is expected to miss 'only' the match against De Rossi's Rossoblù and the Champions League match against the Slovenians, before returning to Gasperini's squad for the trip to the Maradona.
