Sanremo 2027: Stefano De Martino surprises the audience: the announcement on Tg1

Stefano De Martino was the protagonist of a curious sketch during Tg1: the live announcement of the 2027 Sanremo Festival.

An important piece of news ahead of Sanremo 2027 : Stefano De Martino surprises Tg1 viewers with an announcement that changes the program of the event.

Sanremo 2027: Stefano De Martino announces the Counter-Festival on Tg1: farewell to the DopoFestival.

A few months before the next Sanremo Festival , Stefano De Martino has chosen a decidedly original way to reveal one of the new features.

The host and artistic director improvised as a news reporter, sitting behind a desk and pretending to present the day's news. The focus of his announcement, however, wasn't current events, but rather the future of the music festival, scheduled for February 16-20, 2027. The news concerns a major change to the television programming: the traditional DopoFestival will no longer take place , replaced by a new event called ControFestival.

De Martino's fake host was interrupted by the recognizable voices of Gialappa's Band , who announced their involvement in the project. The new television space will accompany viewers after the Sanremo evenings, offering commentary, observations, and moments of entertainment through the group's signature ironic and irreverent language. Following the announcement of The Jackal as hosts of PrimaFestival , another new addition is set to enrich the program for the festival.

Gialappa's Band returns to Sanremo after ten years: their connection to the Festival and their new project.

For Giorgio Gherarducci and Marco Santin , now just two men left after Carlo Taranto's departure, this is a particularly significant return. Their last experience hosting a program connected to the festival dates back to 2016 and 2017 , when they joined Nicola Savino in hosting DopoFestival. Their relationship with Sanremo, however, goes much further back, beginning in 2001, when the trio landed on Rai Radio2 with Rai dire Sanremo, a radio program dedicated to live commentary of the evenings. This experience continued until 2009, and helped make their irreverent approach to the event famous.

In the years that followed, the group continued to cover the Festival through various channels and programs. After a hiatus in 2010, Noi dire Sanremo arrived on RTL 102.5 in 2011. The following year, Gialappa commentated on the final on R101 with Mai dire Sanremo, while in 2013, she covered three of the five evenings as part of Stile Libero. In 2014, they returned to RTL 102.5 with Noi dire Sanremo, before another hiatus. Now, over a decade after their last television appearances at the Ariston, the duo is preparing for a new adventure.
