(Adnkronos) – Tomorrow, the University of Rome Tor Vergata opens its doors to direct contact with the world of work. From 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., the square in front of the Rector's Office of the University of Rome Tor Vergata (Via Salamanca 20) will become a meeting point for the skills acquired during studies and the companies seeking them, with the "Campus&Leaders&Talents" Career Day. No filters and no impersonal applications, according to a press release. For nineteen years, Campus&Leaders&Talents has allowed students, graduates, and postgraduates from all faculties to speak directly with recruiters.
In its previous editions, the initiative has involved nearly 20.000 students, graduates, and 550 companies. Over 50 companies participated in this edition, including Alfasigma, Amazon, Banca d'Italia, Birra Peroni, Elica, Gruppo Oniverse, Italo, Mapei, and PagoPA.
The presence of such diverse companies broadens the scope of possibilities. Technology, finance, energy, transportation, consulting, industry: the same study program can meet different needs.
And the work done by a company may be less distant from one's own background than the name of the sector it operates in might suggest at first glance. Strolling from one booth to another also means testing out ideas about one's professional future. For those still in college, Career Day offers the opportunity to learn about these companies while still pursuing their studies.
You can listen to company representatives, learn more about their roles, and understand the skills they're looking for. Graduates can present their experience and discuss available opportunities. In both cases, the face-to-face meeting gives more context to often generic terms like "career opportunities" and "market demands." The day offers both informal conversation and on-the-job selection. At the stands set up in the square, you'll be able to learn more about the companies and their activities; a reserved area will host individual interviews. A resume accompanies the conversation, but it doesn't exhaust it: there's room to explain interests, skills, and choices that a list of qualifications and experience only partially conveys.
Tomorrow's meeting is part of the initiatives promoted through the Rome Tor Vergata Career Center (https://uniroma2.jobteaser.com/). On the portal, students and graduates can create a profile, upload their resumes, and browse internships, placements, and job opportunities, including abroad. Career Day transforms that digital connection into an in-person meeting on the University campus: people and companies can finally meet and connect. The time has come to choose your future: take your talent where it can be discovered. To participate, register on the Career Day page on the University portal. Those who are not yet registered with the Rome Tor Vergata Career Center must first complete the free registration process at placement@uniroma2.it.
