(Adnkronos) – "We are increasingly committed to providing support and guidance throughout the treatment journey for women with metastatic breast cancer, and also for men, albeit to a much smaller extent. We are fighting for the development of a specific diagnostic-therapeutic-care pathway (DTC) for people with metastatic disease. These patients should not have to face an obstacle course, but should be listened to and have all their needs addressed.

"Quality of life is fundamental and must be guaranteed." This was stated by Antonella Campana, president of the IncontraDonna Foundation, speaking at the third edition of Officina #Metastabile, a project promoted by the Foundation in Rome, at the headquarters of the National Agency for Regional Health Services (Agenas).

Campana then emphasized that support for people with metastatic breast cancer is not limited to the day dedicated to raising awareness about the disease.

"Today we celebrate Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness Day, but we are here for our patients all year round. We can therefore say that the #Metastabile Workshop is always open. We hope that access to innovative therapies is equitable and guaranteed for all patients," she concluded.
