The world chocolate champion is Italian. Tommaso Grollero won the 2026 World Chocolate Master, one of the most prestigious awards in the art of chocolate making, with the finals held in Antwerp. The title returns to Italy 13 years after the last time it was won by Davide Comaschi.
“Obviously I am very, very happy,” Grollero said immediately after being crowned the world’s best chocolatier, “it’s an achievement that comes after a lot of work and a lot of stress.
I'm also very, very happy about this."
"It's what I've wanted since I was 16, just to be here and participate," he said in a video shared on the competition's official page. Grollero also took home the Best Taste and Best Design awards.
