(Adnkronos) – Since he began his mission to bring beauty and poetry to Librino over 30 years ago, patron Antonio Presti has forged an ironclad pact with the neighborhood mothers to protect the art installations that have been created over time. This morning, during the inauguration in Catania's Librino neighborhood of the statue "Pegasus, the Winged Horse" by artist Antonello Bonanno Conti and the new terracotta installation "La Porta di Pegaso," shared with thousands of neighborhood children, a project donated by the Antonio Presti Foundation, the neighborhood mothers forcefully reaffirmed the strength of this relationship.
“Antonio is one of us,” says Rachele Magrì. “I met him ten years ago.
The first impression wasn't easy. Then, with his sweetness, his manner, and his way of expressing himself, he showed us everything in a wonderful, simple way, moving us, and from there we became a family. For our children, the horse Pegasus represents dreams. Dreaming is important for kids, and Antonio was good at explaining to our children, but also to their parents, that dreaming and realizing your dreams is important.
Librino wasn't like this before. Before, Librino was sad, dark, all gray. Then, with Antonio, we saw the light, and today we were able to fantasize with him." This morning's inauguration in Librino is part of the Triennale della Contemporaneità promoted by the Sicilian Region in collaboration with the Intesa Sanpaolo bank charity fund.
