(Adnkronos) –
Francisco Cerundolo has won the fifth title of his career: today, Sunday, June 21, the Argentine tennis player triumphed at Queen's, adding to his four previous 250 titles. In the final of the ATP 500 tournament in England against Tommy Paul, Cerundolo came from behind to prevail 6-7, 6-4, 6-3, after a hard-fought match.
It was also a day that brought smiles to Frances Tiafoe's face, champion of the ATP 500 in Halle, Germany. Ten years after his only career victory against compatriot Taylor Fritz, the American prevailed in the final of the German tournament against the number 7 in the ATP rankings with a 6-4 double victory in just over an hour of play.
This is the American's second career grass-court trophy and his fourth overall on the ATP Tour, coming three years after his victory in Stuttgart. With this success, Tiafoe will enter Wimbledon as a top-20 player.
