(Adnkronos) – “'In Lazio-be excellence. Lazio tourism market' is an initiative strongly supported by the Regional Council to support, as institutions, the many municipalities in our region, which embody excellence, histories, and traditions passed down through the centuries. Therefore, today, as a Council, we want to support and assist the project to enable our 378 municipalities to visit their natural beauty, their splendid villages, their history, their traditions, and their communities.”
Antonello Aurigemma, President of the Lazio Regional Council, made this statement at the presentation of the first edition of "In Lazio-be excellence. Lazio tourism market," the event dedicated to promoting Lazio's tourism, cultural, and regional excellence.
“It's an initiative,” he added, “that will continue over time to provide the right support and opportunities.
Today, we have 50 international buyers coming to visit our beautiful region, and I think it's crucial and important to believe that there's a Lazio that isn't just sitting back and watching, but wants to make itself known. And it's important that a synergy and network has been created to promote the beauty of our region."
“Rome,” Aurigemma emphasized, “experiences a 'big tourism', even if it is limited to a very low average number of days compared to Europe.
Just one more day's stay would be enough to create that regional pull effect that could contribute a lot to the area."
