It all began in the couple's home on Corso Vercelli in Milan, after a series of arguments, some of which were related to the wife's accusations that her husband had contracted hepatitis B.
From that moment, according to the Prosecutor's Office's reconstruction and reported by The Social Post , a progressive psychological subjugation began . The entrepreneur, who led a comfortable life between his professional activities, his SUV, and his boat, was gradually deprived of his freedom.
The woman allegedly checked his phone, documents, and financial resources, preventing him from maintaining relationships with friends and acquaintances.
The ongoing intimidation was allegedly compounded by physical assaults , beatings, cigarette burns, and humiliation. The alleged incidents also included threats to the man's mother and his professional reputation. This increasingly stringent surveillance, over the course of approximately twenty months, profoundly affected his physical and psychological condition.
The escape to Saint-Tropez and the hospitalization: he weighed only 53 kilos
The situation escalated on October 9, 2024 , when the entrepreneur managed to escape during a stay in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez . Weighing just 53 kilos, with dirty clothes too big for his body, he took refuge in a hotel, where he collapsed. Two days later, at the emergency room in Legnano, doctors discovered severe organic deterioration and numerous injuries , including burns and facial injuries.
The investigation has led to the acquisition of approximately 30 videos recorded by the vessel's surveillance cameras, which are considered important to reconstructing the violence reported by the victim. The case is now at the center of the preliminary hearing. The ex-wife, who was also a business partner of the entrepreneur, is reportedly charged with mistreatment , aggravated assault, and defrauding a person of legal capacity , the latter charge relating to the alleged embezzlement of €200. The Milan preliminary investigations judge has also reportedly dismissed the woman's counter-complaint. The alleged responsibilities will be determined during the legal proceedings.
