(Adnkronos) – Current FIGC commissioner Giovanni Malagò has signed up with the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) with the Circolo Canottieri Aniene for the five-a-side football team as a team manager. Adnkronos has learned this. Aniene, the club of which Malagò is honorary president, has reaffiliated with the Italian Football Federation this season and is competing in the Serie D five-a-side football championship.
The signing comes after the controversy that led to the FIGC's administration being placed under special administration. Malagò himself has scheduled new presidential elections for December 14, 2026, as he is currently the only candidate, with the Serie A League leaning toward confirming its full support for his re-election.
