(Adnkronos) – "It's important to create synergy. For us, a company like Plasmon is a center of excellence," both from an industrial standpoint, because in Latina "it employs over 300 people, representing 300 families from our city, and because it has been an outpost in the industrial development that Latina has experienced, especially in the pharmaceutical sector. Therefore, it is a company that is consolidating."

This was stated by Annalisa Muzio, Latina's City Planning Councilor, speaking at the Academy Program, a training event promoted in partnership with pediatric specialty schools, scientific societies, institutions, and Plasmon, which brought together 150 pediatricians in training in Sabaudia. "We are proud and happy that it is returning to an Italian brand," she added. "It's a feather in the cap for our region."

We will develop important synergies: we can systematize everything related to production, but above all, develop projects to restore 100% use of the many products made by Plasmon. The administration is available to restart this new challenge together."

“Nutrition is a heritage,” emphasizes Gianluigi Marseglia, professor of Pediatrics at the University of Pavia and president of Siaip (Italian Society of Pediatric Immunology and Allergology), coordinator of the Academy Program.

It's an academic project centered on nutrition as therapy: if we nourish our children well from birth throughout their growth, they will be healthy adults in the future. This initiative is titled Academy, meaning it's an academic project. Academy means training, teaching, learning, sharing knowledge. And this is the spirit of the project: to empower young pediatricians, those who will be the pediatricians of our future, to perform their profession to the best of their ability. At this event, he emphasizes, the entire Italian pediatrics community is represented: the Italian Society of Pediatrics, the Italian Society of Neonatology, the Society of Pediatric Nutrition, the Society of Pediatric Immunology and Allergology, and the Italian Federation of Pediatricians, who are the backbone of national pediatrics because they are present throughout the country and manage children from birth to adolescence. There's another acronym I'd like to highlight: the National Observatory of Pediatric Specialization Students, which brings together all the doctors who attend school at the various Italian pediatric universities, that is, those who will truly become pediatricians."

Within the Italian NewPrinces group, "Plasmon represents a center of excellence: it is the only Italian center for the production of infant formula," says Angelo Mastrolia, executive chairman of the NewPrinces group and president of Plasmon. "Today we are investing in a major project to revitalize the supply chain, particularly by enhancing all the milk supply chains, the most valuable ones, to bring to the table of Italians and, above all, provide an excellent product that cannot be replicated with other solutions. We certainly engage with the institutions," he specifies. "For us, it is essential to convey to the institutions the great value that the entire NewPrinces group represents today in Italy, with more than 17 plants and over 13 people: we can and want to do a lot."
