Lucrezia Stefanini and a shocking doping test at the US Open. The Italian tennis player, eliminated in the second round of the American Grand Slam by compatriot Jasmine Paolini, posted a shocking story on her Instagram profile, showing the state of her arm, with a visible bruise, following a doping test conducted in New York.
“A week ago, at the US Open, during a doping test, the nurse couldn't find the vein and, instead of changing her approach, she continued to move the needle inside my arm in an attempt to find it,” Stefanini explained. “The result? This beautiful hematoma that, a week later, is still here.”
“This is the evolution of the hematoma during the week, what can I tell you, it obviously hurts me even in everyday things.
I wonder: is it normal for a doping test to be carried out in this way? And above all, is it the same treatment reserved for ALL players?” Stefanini concluded with a polemical note, then tagging the WTA.
