(Adnkronos) – A heated exchange between Maurizio Lupi and Milan Mayor Giuseppe Sala followed the comments made by the Noi Moderati leader about the mayor at AdnKronos, interviewed by director Davide Desario for AdnTalks.

Beppe Sala's actions in Milan, Lupi said, "are there for all to see. When the majority demands discontinuance of their mayor's actions, it's shocking.

I believe the problem facing Milan, which, thank God, has the resources and energy within it, is clear for all to see. A future hasn't been built, what will the Milan of 2050 be like. The issue of security is dramatic. Urban planning is paralyzed, due, in my opinion, to a lack of strong responsibility. The other thing is that Milan, a city that has always welcomed, now expels. Our young people in Milan can't find housing because the prices are unlivable.

The final failure is that Milan today can no longer be its territory, its municipal area, but the challenge should have been that of greater Milan, of the greater metropolitan area, and on this it is paradoxical that the left, which has always made it a battle, has not implemented it".

Commenting on the words of the leader of Noi Moderati on AdnTalks, Sala then replied: “The failure, if anything, is all his own.

Not only will Lupi never become mayor: he can't even run, because his coalition doesn't even want him."

"I recall," Sala added, "that in 2021, his list in Milan received 8.362 votes, or 1,9%. It's hard to give a lesson with these numbers."
