Adnkronos (Adnkronos) – “Kimi Antonelli starring in Formula 1? For Italian motorsport fans, it's a dream, because we've never had such a strong Italian driver in Formula One. So it's great to see him there. Also, for me, it's really cool because we've known him since he was a little kid, we used to go karting together, so seeing him able to win is a great satisfaction.
I think that, given how things have gone this year, he has the situation under control. So we'll see on Sunday evening,” MotoGP champion Valentino Rossi told Sky, commenting on the magical moment of the young Italian Mercedes driver, Kimi Antonelli, who is close to winning the F1 world title. “I'll speak to him before the race, but I don't think he needs my advice,” added the 'Doctor' who also spoke about the MotoGP title race.
“Bezzecchi is 46 points behind the leader? That's a good number, that's a good number…” Rossi said with a smile, referring to his number, 46. “It's tough for the title, but why not? There are so many races. In my opinion, Bezzecchi has proven to be the fastest this year. 46 points is a lot, especially since there are two riders ahead, so it's difficult, but we have to try to win, we have to try to finish at the front.
In Australia, he has a bad luck streak going back to last year because he had to do two long laps, otherwise he would have won; so, why not?
