Pillon explained that an appeal will be filed against the court's decisions because "in our opinion, this order is too cautious. The children's immediate return could have been ordered, and the constitutional rights of parents, who are entitled to choose the type of education their children receive, could also have been safeguarded."
"We will ask for a review of the decision," he continued, "also because the Juvenile Court failed to take into consideration the children's health issues, which are very important to us." "On these two issues—educational freedom and the children's health—we will request a definitive and complete reinstatement," he concluded.
Speaking to Adnkronos, the lawyer emphasized that "today's meeting took place in a climate of constructive discussion.
"The parents explained their concerns aimed at preventing stress and trauma for their children and illustrated their parenting style and their ways of communicating with their children, which were sometimes misinterpreted. The parents were then informed about the procedures for gradual re-entry and school integration." Finally, new methods of discussion and dialogue between those involved in the matter were agreed upon, also to defuse the situation and foster mutual understanding," she concluded.
