(Adnkronos) – "A2A has been investing in Calabria since before I became president, and I must say it's crucial for the region, both economically and environmentally. The public sector must create the conditions for private investors to invest with certainty, and it must build a favorable ecosystem. In short, we need to create fertile ground that attracts and retains investment.
"I consider Mazzoncini one of the best Italian managers and I appreciate A2A's ability to invest," said Roberto Occhiuto, President of the Calabria Region, during the presentation of A2A's Territorial Sustainability Report in Calabria.
Regarding the just transition, Occhiuto said “it is done by recognizing the value of the territories.
I'm waging a solitary battle against Arera, which should have lowered prices where renewables are produced, but isn't doing so in Calabria. I think this would be a great lever to attract investment. Energy prices have been discussed extensively in recent years, but too superficially. I want to raise this issue for national public debate," he concluded.
