(Adnkronos) – Former RIS general Luciano Garofano has reportedly filed a lawsuit against Antonio De Rensis, Alberto's lawyer.
Stasi, the only person definitively convicted for the Garlasco crime, was informed of this by lawyer Salvo Sottile during last night's episode of Ore14Sera on Rai 2.
“I'm sorry you were sued,” De Rensis told the journalist, who replied: “I believe you were sued too, lawyer, by General Garofano.”
The lawyer then retorted: "Why do you want to mislead me? Why do you want to give me news that would fill my heart with joy and then maybe it's not true?", prompting smiles in the studio, including that of Angela Taccia, part of Andrea Sempio's legal team.
“No, I assure you that he was sued along with me and 12 other people, the complaint was filed on the 19th of this month at the Parma prosecutor's office.
I'll also give you some references,” Sottile added.
"I tell you I don't believe it, but I'll have a hard time sleeping because my dream of meeting Garofano in a courtroom could come true. We'll have to see who calls whom. It's a very direct message," concluded the lawyer, who recently, commenting on the former general's TV interview with Bruno Vespa, had said: "We are certain that someone is lying; there is no doubt that in this final part of this very sad story, someone is a liar."
Garofano has come under scrutiny by the Pavia Prosecutor's Office for analyses conducted in 2007, doubtfully following the murder of Chiara Poggi, for which Stasi himself was definitively convicted, but which could now see a new turning point following the inclusion of Andrea Sempio in the register of suspects.
