Adnkronos (Adnkronos) – "Node Roma brings together and focuses some of our group's key technologies. Here, we will focus on three key specializations: sustainable fuels, with a pre-treatment plant that ensures the quality of biofuels; green hydrogen, produced with innovative membranes capable of making solar-powered production more efficient; and finally, the recovery and gasification of non-recyclable plastics, to transform waste into new chemical molecules.
Each of our six research centers in Europe has its own specific vocation, and Rome will manage these three supply chains,” explained Fabio Fritelli, Managing Director of Nextchem, during the inauguration ceremony of Node Roma, the first location in the international network of Research and Development centers of Nextchem, a Maire Group company dedicated to sustainable technologies.
Fritelli emphasized how the technological solutions developed in the capital have an international reach and a vocation for collaboration: “What we 'cook' in our laboratories has a global audience.
When operating in the energy, fertilizer, and chemical commodity sectors, customers are present throughout the world, and the solutions developed here will be exported internationally. NODE was created primarily to consolidate our existing activities, both domestically and internationally, into a single hub, creating a true hub for continuous innovation.
At the same time, the center will be open to third-party companies and universities that wish to conduct basic research or use our reactors to test new technologies, transforming the facility into an efficient and collaborative hub."
