Darren Cahill is heading to Monte Carlo, signaling the start of the X-hour for Jannik Sinner. Having shelved the 2026 season a month early to repair his right knee, the Italian opened the doors of his Monaco residence to the Australian supercoach for a crucial meeting to understand the future.

The most delicate aspect of next season's planning is on the table: defining coaching strategies with co-coach Simone Vagnozzi and determining whether there's scope to extend the partnership for at least another 12 months.

The former mentor of André Agassi and Simona Halep had previously toyed with the idea of hanging up his racket for family reasons, only to later renew their relationship and relaunch the South Tyrolean champion's ambitions.

Now, face to face in the Principality, the priority is to clarify matters. All options remain open: from a complete renewal to tackle a new season together and hunt for new trophies, to a transition led by Cahill himself to bring in a new manager. His presence on site, captured in the latest social media snaps on the Monaco seafront, quashes speculation about alleged disagreements and officially kicks off construction for 2027.
