Antonelli has broken record after record in Formula 1. At the Japanese Grand Prix, in his first year in the premier class, he became the youngest driver ever to set the fastest lap, at the age of 18 years and 224 days, finishing with a time of 1:30.965.
In 2026, he became the youngest ever to take a pole position, starting from first place for the first time in his career in China, while in Japan he became the youngest to lead the Drivers' Championship. At just 19 years and 9 months, he became the youngest driver in Formula 1 history to achieve a Grand Chelem—that is, to take pole position, a race win, fastest lap, and lead the race from start to finish in the same weekend, thus breaking the previous record held by Max Verstappen. Furthermore, no one in history had achieved their first Formula 1 victories back-to-back, a streak achieved by Antonelli.
Antonelli's passion for speed stems from his father Marco, who was also a racing driver, and he grew up surrounded by the legend of Ayrton Senna. Antonelli could become the youngest ever to win a World Championship, breaking the record held by Sebastian Vettel, who won at 23 years, 4 months, and 11 days. Antonelli also had a cameo in the film "Italian Race," directed by Marco Rovere and starring Stefano Accorsi.
