Luis Enrique's PSG, the defending champions, swept to victory on the opening day of the Champions League. At the Parc des Princes, the French side swept Slovan Bratislava 6-1 thanks to a first-half brace from Dembele (17th and 23rd minute), a hat-trick from Ferran Torres (31st, 47th, and 57th minute), and a goal from Fabian Ruiz (88th minute).
Camara scored for the guests in the 59th minute.
Liverpool, meanwhile, secured a narrow victory at Anfield, coming from behind to defeat Simeone's Atlético Madrid 2-1. Llorente scored in the first half for the Colchoneros, then Szoboszlai equalized for the Reds, and in the second half, Mac Allister completed the comeback for Iraola's team.
Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon also won, defeating Turkish side Galatasaray 3-1. Inacio scored an own goal, Portugal equalized with Catamo, and goals from Suarez (penalty) and Zalazar followed.
Barcelona won 5-1 at the Camp Nou. Flick's side won 5-1 against Feyenoord thanks to a brace from Raphinha and goals from Adeyemi, Lamine Yamal, and Gabriel Jesus. Steijn's Dutch side scored a consolation goal.
In the other match at 18,45pm, Stuttgart beat Viking 3-1 thanks to a hat-trick from Bosnian Demirovi, with Tripic scoring the Norwegian goal.
